The Game Screen

This is where most of the game takes place, on planets. In this screen seen here, bump into the ship with your character to go back to the space screen.

The Stat Bar

The green bar seen here is your HP. If you have full HP, it will be bright green. When your HP changes gradually, so does the color. To the right of it is your current amount of coins, used to spend on items or other events.

Interacting with NPCS

This game has been programmed so that anything with an NPC script code is considered an NPC, even if it's just a treasure chest.

Sometimes in the game, there are choices to make. Just like in the main menu, move the cursor with the up and down arrow keys to your choice, then press SPACE.

If during an NPC script you receive a piece of inventory, find a spot to place it in with the arrow keys and press SPACE. You can combine like items into one slot. If nothing fits, press "Q" to give up.

Controls in the Game Screen More on the Inventory Screen

You can press SPACE to activate a piece of inventory. If nothing happens, then that means that it cannot be used at that time (for example, you can't use Guaranola on the main screen.)

The Game Menu

The current options that have been programmed are:

Battles

There are times when you will encounter a random battle. When this happens, your character will blink and you will be transported to the battle arena where you will meet your opponent. You will see your HP and SP during the fight and an approximation of your enemy's HP.

When it's your turn to fight, here are the options available to you:

If you reduce your enemy's HP to 0, you win the battle and the experience and coin spoils to go with it.

Blaster Damage Formula

When you use your blaster, you give damage based on a few variables, including a random chance variable called "attchance". This value is an integer from 1 to the sum of your attack points and your enemy's defense points.

The equation used to calculate the inital damage is the following:

The last factor to be considered when calculating the final damage done to your opponent is your accuracy points. There is also a random integer here, from 1 to 100. This table shows how much final damage is done:

Lowest random integer Highest random integer Damage done
1 75% of your accracy points 100% of initial damage points
1+ 75% of your accuracy points 100% of your accuracy points 75% of initial damage points
1+ 100% of your accuracy points The average of your accuracy points and 100 50% of initial damage points
1+ The average of your accuracy points and 100 100 Miss

Items you can use

Image Item Name Where can you use it? What does it do?
Guaranola In-Battle Only Triples your attack points for this battle.
iShield In-Battle Only Triples your defense points for this battle.

Enemy Attacks

Depending on what three attacks the enemy will use, they have the following to choose from:

Attack Name Description Effects
Tackle The enemy tackles you. Normal Attack

Yellow Laser The enemy fires a yellow laser at you. 25% Attack Boost

Lightning The enemy fires lightning at you. Double Attack
Heal The enemy heals itself. 50% of enemy's current HP is restored.
Stomp The enemy jumps, causing the earth to quake. 60% Attack Boost

Enemy Damage Formula

The attchance variable is also used here to determine how much damage is done. This as an integer value between one and the sum of your defense points and your enemy's attack points.

Your enemy's attack power is thus:

Your enemy's accuracy is the final determinant of damage your enemy does to you. A random integer from 1 to 100 determine's the final damage:

Lowest random integer Highest random integer Damage done
1 Enemy's accuracy points 100% of initial damage points
1+ enemy's accuracy points The average of enemy's accuracy points and 100 50% of initial damage points
1+ The average of enemy's accuracy points and 100 100 Miss
